Admission Process

Admission to the top B-Schools is usually a two stage process :

  1. Written Exam

The written exam is of 2 hours duration consisting of 150-185 multiple choice questions. The exam comprises broadly of the following sections: Quantitative Aptitude (Maths), English Usage, Reading Comprehension, Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency & Business Awareness.

  2. Group Discussion/ Personal Interview

Depending on the performance in the Written Exam, candidates are short listed for the admission process. Candidates are arranged in small group (8 to 12 students) and are given a topic to discuss upon. This discussion will be observed by a panel of judges. The objective of GD is to assess the personality of the candidates by observing their communication, persuasion skills, teamwork, leadership ability, body language etc.

The personal Interview is the last stage of the admission process. An interview is a face-to-face meeting for the purpose of assessing the various personal attributes of the candidate like communication skills, ability to handle pressure, ability to plan for oneself, as also social skill, honesty and ethical values, integrity, openness etc.
