member of IAI on application
is admitted as a Fellow member
subject to following;
1. A student
member who has passed all the
examinations of CT, CA, ST and
SA series and has attended 3-days
mandatory India Fellowship Seminar
on ‘India specific Legislation,
environments, practices and
Professionalism’.
2. An affiliate
member who has had at least
1 year of India residence experience
and has attended 3-days mandatory
India Fellowship Seminar on
‘India specific Legislation,
environments, practices and
Professionalism’.
The course consists of 15 papers.
The course can be completed
between 4 to 5 years depending
on the time devoted by the student
for the preparation of the examinations.
It is no secret that actuaries
are highly paid. On qualification,
a new actuary is likely to be
on a salary of approx. Rs. 30
lacs per year in UK and Rs.12
lacs per year in India.
Career opportunity starts as
soon as the student completes
the first 5 papers. Stipend
for an Actuarial Trainee in
UK is approx. Rs. 1,50,000 per
month and in India approx. Rs.
30,000 per month.
